000021435 520__ $$2eng$$aFlow stabilization in ventilations ducts is very important issue. This can affect the separation of the stream in the different type of fittings (e.g. T-shaped connectors). The use of perforated sheet or tubular deflector (thin-walled tubes arranged side by side in the duct) for faster flow stability is common practice in the industry. This elements are mounted especially near fan with ducts connection, although lack of studies proving the effectiveness of this methods. In this paper has been investigated the effect of tabular air deflector on flow stabilization with numerical simulation used.
