DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF BRIDGE GIRDERS UNDER MOVING LOADS CONSIDERING WARPING EFFECTS: NUMERICAL AND ANALYTICAL BEAM MODELS

Abstract eng:
In order to perform efficient dynamic analyses of continuous high-speed railway bridges, a numerical and an analytical beam models are proposed in the present work. The behaviour of the bridge girder is described by a three-dimensional Euler-Bernoulli beam element, where an additional degree-of-freedom is considered at each beam-end, representing the cross-sectional warping. The structural response is determined by considering a modal analysis along with a direct integration scheme. The natural frequencies and vibration mode shapes are determined by the developed models. The trains are modeled as series of moving masses acting eccentrically at constant speed, allowing the corresponding inertial effects to be considered besides the gravitational force of mass.
