It focuses on the characterization of the main factors influencing this phenomenon by studying the well-known and documented case NUPEC from 90s and by conducting different case scenarios with a linear model. The performed numerical simulations are able to capture the influence of the adjacent structure, which partly depends on the type of foundation soil. A parametric analysis was also performed to highlight the influence of some parameters (such as a distance between building, mass, height and embedded depth) on the response of the main structure.
