Thee building was w consideered in an open terraiin with w a grouund conditiion subjectt to type C exposure.. The cases of the sccaffolding system witth additional a pprotecting clad sheets at a three porrosity ratioss (0%, 15% and 30%) were tested d to examinne the t effect off the wind looad on the scaffolding s system. Results R show w that a deccrease of th he screen poorosity ratio o tends to prromote a moore significant extent of o wind w force vvariation off the system m with respeect to the ch hange of the oncomingg-flow direcction. As thhe scaffolding s system is set at the wiindward sidde of the buiilding, a maaximum tottal push-in force f occurss. When W the oorientation of o the scafffolding systtem is paraallel to the oncoming-f o flow directiion, the totaal pull-out p forrce becomees maximum m. Moreoveer, the fluctuating parrt of the neet clad presssure can be b appreciable, a , comparedd with the correspondin c ng local meean pressurre. Finally, the net preessure of thhe clad c variatee in space and net pressure exttrema generally occurr near the edge or co orner of thhe scaffolding s system.
