Numerical analysis of the width control of the early-age cracks in concrete
Abstract eng: The design of the concrete structures focuses mainly on the effects of the direct load in terms of the construction safety. In connection with the use of the massive concrete structures and new technologies, the need to consider the effects of the indirect load increases. From the point of the view of significance of the seperating cracks for the serviceability and durability of concrete structures, the paper deals with the reinforcement ratio of longitudinal reinforcement to the maximum crack width limitation. This study is the background for the experimental investigation focused on the comparison of crack width control with steel and composite reinforcement.
