The CFD method was applied. The RANS and RSM models were used to simulate turbulent flow. Six variants of cylindrical and conical vortex finders were analysed. The results indicate that in the case of low-stage cyclones (where separation efficiency is not the main objective function) it is reasonable to use a cylindrical vortex finder.
