Architectural heritage in prefabrication. Protection and enhancement of the construction technique

Abstract eng:
In the middle of the twentieth century, the architectural relationship between form and technique, found a new horizon in the precast concrete construction technique that would meet architectural and social requirements. These fifty years of continuous improvement of the technique and the quality of materials, design and placement processes, should conclude with the appreciation of the prefabricated building systems heritage. This paper aims to highlight the importance of this construction system in Spain, especially between 1950 and 1970, showing an overview of its evolution from its origins until today.
