Awaiting a new rurality: effects of the Ancares-Courel Park proposal in Galicia

The aim of our work is the analysis of the effects of creation of a National Park in the region Ancares-Courel, in Galicia. We are interested in studying specially the dissent provoked local level by the model of new rural identity who is generated across the declaration as National Park. This has provoked an intercommunal conflict in which we will be able to estimate the creation of several associative movements which purpose has been or the stopped of the project of declaration of Park or his defense from environmental beginning. In this point, when the dissatisfaction of the population has been the sufficiently significant thing as to have managed to stop the implantation of the legislation of protected zone, the community is in a situation of certain lack of definition. They prefer defending a system of life in crisis that to accept a new transformation.
