The aim of our research is to test new ways to enjoyment based on the application of ICT to promote understanding of archaeological heritage less known. The study of the Temple of Apollo on the Acropolis of Cuma allowed us to address the main issues related to the definition of reconstructive hypotheses scientifically correct and to test some information and communication systems for the representation of these hypotheses. The research goals are: to define a methodological path from data acquisition to formulation of reliable hypotheses to decide ‘what’ and ‘how’ we can virtually rebuild, in line with the international principles; to test the potentiality of interactive representation techniques, such as immersive interactive images, 3D PDF and some of Augmented Reality systems, and to design a physical interface that is border line between analogical word and digital word.
