Abstract eng:
The profiles of the civil engineering study courses graduates form the point of view of its development used to go hand in hand with the needs of practical building industry. Looking back to the past the education of graduates in civil engineering courses at the technical universities were more less narrow oriented. Study courses in the field of classical structural and technological civil engineering can be seen as a good example for it. In the recent period the civil engineering education has been more specialized and diversified. Some new study courses opened recently are environmentally and non-structurally oriented. In the last decade deep depression in the field of structurally and technologically oriented civil engineering education has been occured in contrast to the incresing needs of present building industry in Slovakia. Presented paper is trying to analyse the objective and subjective fenomenon of this processes in Slovakia and at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of STU Bratislava as well.
