Zmeny v územných a dopravných charakteristikách sídiel / Changes in Territorial and Traffic Variation in the Settlements

Abstract eng:
The paper presents the partial results of the comparative research of settlements variation in the territory of Slovakia in the period from 1990 to 2005. This variation are compared with the foregoing research outcomes focused on the topic „Integration of Transport Functions in Urbanization Process“ which was realized in the period 1980-1990 within the selected group of Slovakian cities of different size. From the gained results, come out that the present settlement variation advancement tends contrariwise to the previous development. There are many notable changes in demographic variation of large-sized cities since the end of the last century followed with the suburbanization and growing mobility. The comparative research is realized within the research project „Environmental Parameters of the Transport Structures Capacity“ VEGA No.1/3314/06.
