Eliminating Structures Deflection by Removing Subsoil

Abstract eng:
Deformations which occur as an effect of mining activity are typically of continuous character. These deformations are characterized by a number of parameters. The most important of them in regard to buildings on mining terrain are: strain, subsidence, gradient and curvature. Gradient of mining terrain cause deflection of structures. Gradient of mining terrain is especially troublesome for buildings users. In recent years several methods of eliminating structures’ deflection has been developed. These methods can be divided into two categories. The paper presents methods of eliminating deflection basing on removing subsoil.
