Analýza a navrhovanie lanových sústav v zmysle koncepcie Performance-Based Design

Abstract eng:
Performance-based design (PBD) implies design of structures whose performance under common and extreme loads responds to the diverse needs and objectives of owners-users and society. The premise is that performance levels and objectives can be quantified, that performance can be predicted analytically, and that the cost of improved performance can be evaluated, so that rational trade-offs can be made based on life-cycle considerations rather than construction costs alone. Specific features that relate to PBD are summarized in the present paper. Improved closed-form and combined discrete solutions for the post-elastic response of cable structures in the failure range as a base for PBD are presented. The application of derived equations is illustrated by numerical examples. Deflections of structures have been compared with the non-linear FEM results. A great potential of intelligent structures and prototype of the adaptive lightweight structure is briefly described.
