Elements of timber structures must especially satisfy the requirements for safety, expressed by ultimate limit states in established standards. The structure must satisfy also the serviceability limit states. Local and global deformations make the structure unable to serve for designed purpose. By determination of deflections and their possible increasing is important to provide a structure, which is able to serve during the whole period of service.The Thesis is dealing with long term experimental investigation of some nowadays often used timber girgers.
