Possibilities of Assessing the Flexibility of Lap-Joints in Compliance with Eurocode 3
Abstract eng: Basing on formulae quoted in EC3 [1] concerning the rigidity indices of the fundamental parts of bent heading joints analogical formulae have been derived for slidable lap-joints (relation N − δ ) and rotary lap-joints (relation M − ϕ ). The paper presents also calculation models for various types of lap-joints and compares the results of calculations obtained basing on the derived formulae with the results of model investigations available in literature.
