Prelomenie vzperadla a oblúka


Abstract eng:
Geometrically non-linear solution of selected beam structures is analyzed and snap-through effect is presented in this article. Basic assumptions are specified and incremental conditional equations are derived. Newton-Raphson iteration is used. First part of the paper studies the importance of nonlinear members in geometric equation and their effect upon the result of the solution. The solved examples of Misses truss and shallow arch are presented and different approaches to the solution are compared. Numerical results of specific shallow arch are presented in second part of paper. Ideal shape of arch was solved first, results are compared with analytical solution. Individual loading paths are investigated and their total potential energy values are compared. Arch with different values of the initial geometrical imperfections was solved later, and influence of these imperfections on load-carrying capacity is presented.
