000002753 520__ $$2eng$$aLateral seismic reactions and their impact to supporting structures piers and piles of highway arc bridge are analysed. Due to the fact that not accurate values of soil parameters were provided a parametric study has been carried out to show the sensibility of results to the uncertainties. In this case the parametric study shows that the uncertainties in structural model and in soil parameters do not lead to unacceptable seismic response. Piers and piles resist to the seismic design situation in elastic condition. Seismic displacements are analyzed too. These values are needed to detailing of bearings, piers and dilatation units.
