FEM Simulation of Bond-Slip Behavior Between Epoxy Coated Plain Steel Rebars and Concrete
Abstract eng: This paper is devoted to a FEM numerical simulation of bond-slip behavior between epoxy coated plain steel bars and concrete. In this case the cured epoxy coating is assumed as a mid-layer. This layer leads to some differ in the nonlinear bond-slip relation from the relation in the case of non-insulated bars. The aim of the research is the generation of an adequate numerical model for extracting the bond-slip relation in the simulation of pullout of plain reinforcement from concrete body. The FEM analysis is performed by the ANSYS structural module.
