Hodnotenie kvality habitatu na toku Torysa v období minimálnych prietokov

Abstract eng:
During the years 1995-2008 we implemented research on the impact of some abiotic characteristics of a microhabitat on the aquatic zone of some Slovak mountain and submountain streams. In this article we give the results of our research concerning some broad problems – from the impact of river training on the biota of these aquatic zones to a generalization of ichthyofauna habitat preference, which is represented by suitability curves. This generalization will allow broader utilization of the IFIM methodology for proposed optimal habitats, and assessments of the affect of technical work in streams including water consumption. This methodology can even be used for modeling the unaffected character of stream according to the EU framework directive 2000/60/EC.
