Fraktály v mestských štruktúrach

Abstract eng:
Cities are living complex systems consisting of cooperating parts on a different level of functionality and size. A responsible attitude to the urban interventions requires a good knowledge of principles how urban structures are working. Scientific theories about complex systems e.g. chaos theory and fractal geometry helps effectively predict the consequences of urban structures development. Studying the shape characteristics as an outside display of its inside structures, we can use methods offered by the fractal geometry. Mathematical methods enable to classify and evaluate geometrical surveys and unveil surprising connexions with seemingly different science disciplines.
