Výučba squashu na KTV SvF

Abstract eng:
This paper is aimed at analysis of squash-teaching methods that have been used at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, STU Bratislava. Squash is a racquet sport that was formerly called squash racquets. The game is played by two players (or four) with standard racquets in a four - walled court, with a small rubber ball. Squash itself was developed at Londons Harrow School in the early 19th century (1830). By the end of the century it had spread to Britains other private schools as well as Oxford and Cambridge universities. Squash started at the STU in the year 2000-2001 in the area of Slavia STU. Now, there are many students interested in this game which becomes more and more popular. Students take place in many competitions: our best player Jana Rindošová wond 1st place in the Championship of Slovak universities in 2004, and in 2008 she got 3rd place there.
