Numerical analysis of a reactor vessel: transport processes .


Abstract eng:
This paper deals with a computer simulation of coupled heat and moisture transfer in a reactor vessel which affected shrinkage and creep of the structure. The mathematical model consists of balance equations of mass and energy, and of the appropriate constitutive equations. The chosen macroscopic field variables are temperature, water vapour content, gas pressure. The discretization of governing equation using finite elemeunt method leads to the system of non-linear and nonsymmetric system of equations.
