Numerical analysis of reactor vessel: parallel implementation

Assessment of properties of reactor vessels in nuclear power plants which are more than 30 years old is necessary for eventual prolongation of their serviceability. Vessels are constructed from prestressed concrete with inner steel liner. Properties of concrete are assessed by thermo-hydro-mechanical analysis which has to cover the whole life of the vessel. Coupled analyses of structure during period more than 30 years long are very time and memory demanding and therefore parallel computers are employed. Results are summarized at the end of contribution. ´
