Temperature correction for a hot wire concentration measurements in a gas mixture

Abstract eng:
The method of simultaneous flow velocity and concentration measurement by means of a constant temperature anemometer with two parallel hot wires probe in a binary gas mixture has been recently described, e.g., Chassaing (1977), Sakai at all (2001),Moryn at all (2004). An especially careful calibration of heat transfer from both wires is necessary as to determine their calibration parameters with sufficient accuracy Particularly parameters concerning the calibration map of the probe are very sensitive to the flow temperature changes. A new method for correcting the calibration map parameters is briefly described in the paper.
