000003338 520__ $$2eng$$aOne of the possibility, how to reduce amplitude of transversal vibration of rotors is to put together their rotating and no-rotating part by the squeeze film damper. This damper brings additional effect, namely additional mass and add*itional damping, into vibrating shaft. These effects cannot be neglected and must be included to the solution of the rotor system. In this contribution are this effects determined by means of a new access, which is based on Navier-Stoke´s equation.
