The contribution to the high-energy piping whip limiter properties optimization


Abstract eng:
The aim of this contribution is comparing the results of the solution of steam piping response to the guillotine rupture at the variation of some parameters of the selected Skoda type axial whip limiter, using discrete absorbtion elements with viscoplastic deformation characteristics. The limiter has been installed in the high-energy steam piping system of the secondary circuit of a VVER type nuclear power plant.
