EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF PEDESTRIAN WIND COMFORT OVER RAILWAY-STATION PLATFORMS


Abstract eng:
Case-study of wind action in space of innovated Salzburg railway-station was performed using VZLÚ boundary layer wind tunnel. Investigation of pedestrian wind conditions over platforms was realized by multiply Irwin probes measurement. Their pressure signals were processed to mean values of velocities, standard deviations and peaks for wind comfort evaluation.
