PNEUMATIC SUSPENSION SYSTEM WITH OPTIMAL CONTROL OF DAMPING, STIFFNESS AND RIDE-HEIGHT

Abstract eng:
The application to improved vehicle dynamics requires the stiffness and dumping coefficient change to be instantaneous. However many other authors say that the duple-volume spring can change the stiffness with no power input, it is not so precisely true. The electromagnetic actuators, which are used as controllers have power input and also own dynamics. We can see that the dynamics of the controllers’ actuators has an important influence on the whole controlled semi-active system. The behavior of the system which includes valves dynamics is far worse than we would expect when we neglected the valves dynamics.
