First, the overview of numerical approaches to fluid-structure interaction is given and the focus is on particle finite element method. Delaunay triangulation, which is able to generate high quality meshes, was chosen as a suitable meshing method. Alpha shape concept derived from Delaunay triangulation was considered as proper boundary recognition algoritm. The algorithms are being implemented in finite element package OOFEM to enable analysis of fluid-structure interaction problems. ´
