Risk analysis of high rise buildings

Abstract eng:
Interaction between a load-bearing building structure and the load nonbearing elements is a very important problem we have to face, when designing a high rise building. The present paper deals with a random character of deformation in columns and stiffening walls, wich could be the cause of the failure of large facade glass panels. Several phenomena are taken into consideration, such as wind load, creep in concrete and long-term deformation of piles.
