000004105 520__ $$2eng$$aThere is presented criterion design for determination of limit pressure of pipe with surface corrosion defects. In contrast to sharp damage destruction of pipe with surface defects is in consequence of plastic collapse in macrovolume of pipe wall. There is mentioned existent CTU methodology based on evaluation of plastic region during loading by pressure. Newly suggested criterion is based on analysis of energy balance parameters. Work done to pipe body by pressure load and energy dissipated by plasticity are monitored. This approach is under development.
