Modelling of the torsion and combined elongation–torsion tests of hyperelastic cylinders


Abstract eng:
Stress effects in an incompressible hyperelastic cylindrical specimen are specified for the torsion test and combined elongation–torsion tests. The twisting couple and the axial force are specified for Hencky’s material model and are compared with the classic models. The results include the well–known Poynting effect.
