Analytical Models for Impinging Jets with application to Downburst Simulations

Abstract eng:
Various types of impinging jet flows are analytically modeled using inviscid free Gaussian jets superimposed with experimentally fitted boundary layer models. Improved and simplified solutions to existing models are defined. The results are then compared with available experiments for a range of Reynolds numbers.
