ANALYSIS OF GRANULAR MATERIAL BEHAVIOUR FROM TWO KINDS OF NUMERICAL MODELLING
Abstract eng: In this study, two different numerical tools are used and compared in order to analyse the mechanical behaviour of a granular sample. While under quasi-static loading the global responses are very similar, still important differences appear at the local level. Under dynamical loading, the numerical results obtained seems to be strongly influenced by the way the numerical dissipation is introduced in the both schemes.
