These methods are from the viewpoints of energy and stress, respectively, and are in good compliance with former theories and experiments. They can be used to design experiment, to interpret and predict experimental results. Analysis exhibits that a pure load mode is unfavorable to dislocation emission and dislocation emits more easily in the presence of other load component. Another finding is that dislocation emission direction is selective, that is, not any specified direction possesses the possibility of dislocation emission by adjusting load direction.
