DIFFENTIAL EQUATION CELL METHOD FOR DYNAMIC RESPONSE ANALYSIS OF FOUNDATIONS IN LAYERED MEDIA
Abstract eng: A differential equation cell method is presented for a layered medium. The method is applied to a simplified soil model to formulate the dynamic responses of foundations partially embedded in layered soils. The finally developed formulations are in simple semi-closed form and found to be capable of predicting the dynamic responses of foundations well.
