REDUCED CONTINUUM SOLUTIONS OF PILE-SOIL INTERACTION FROM EXACT FORMULATIONS
Abstract eng: Starting from an exact formulation, a simplified computational method is developed for the dynamic soil-pile interaction problem by relaxation. Numerical results are provided to illustrate the range of validity and accuracy of the approximate scheme for vertical, horizontal and rocking loading.
