THE COMBINED USE OF VIBRATION, ACOUSTIC EMISSION AND OIL DEBRIS SENSOR MONITORED DATA COMING FROM ROTATING MACHINERY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A ROBUST HEALTH MONITORING SYSTEM

Abstract eng:
The monitoring of progressive wear in a single stage gearbox using the combination of two nondestructive techniques (vibration and acoustic emission) together with data coming from oil debris sensor (ODM) and the use of advanced signal processing techniques upon the acquired recordings is the scope of the present work. Conventional and wavelet based parameters were developed and utilised in order to evaluate the recorded vibration and AE signals and extract diagnostic information out of them. Combination of Vibration and AE data increase the diagnostic capacity and reliability of the proposed techniques.
