Nowadays in Poland, ischemic heart disease affects almost a million people and about 90 000 of them die every year. One of the most commonly used treatment methods is the coronary angioplasty with stent placement. There are many types of stents available, but we still need to look for new technologies and materials to provide better mechanical properties, physicochemical and biomedical stents.
