The study analyses the data obtained by a temporary seismometer array, deployed in different configurations. Data processing was performed in both time and frequency domain. The analysis pointed out the first resonance frequencies and the corresponding modal shapes of the Obelisk. A finite element model was developed and a comparison was made between analytical and experimental modal shapes. The spectral analysis of ambient noise records obtained near the Obelisk does not show local amplification of ground motion due to soil effects. The dynamic response of the site is influenced by the presence of buried constructions.
