THE ROLE OF CHEMICAL ADMIXTURES IN CONCRETE SUSTAINABILITY
Abstract eng: This paper discusses the effects on concrete of chemical ad mixtures, and their contribution to concrete sustainability. The impo rtance of chemical ad mixtures in concrete technology cannot be overstated. In this paper, the authors quantitatively evaluate the influences of chemical ad mixtures’ water-reducing effect, placeability improvement effect and h igh-strengthening effect on the reduction of environ mental impact. Finally, the authors illustrate the future outlook for chemical admixtures from the standpo int of sustainability.
