STUDY ON THE BASIC PROPERTIES OF LOW CARBON CONCRETE WITH HIGH AMOUNT OF ADMIXTURE

Abstract eng:
The properties of concrete with high amount of the mineral admixtures with a few carbon footprint other than cement were showed. The experiment examines the influence that mixing ratio gives to fresh property, strength property and durability of low carbon concrete. As the results, although the mixing ratio of the cement in the binder is 30% or less, the compressive strength could be achieved up to 50N/mm2 at 28 days by designing appropriate water-binder ratio. In the case of the same water-binder ratio, the drying shrinkage and freezing and thawing resistance of low carbon concrete were equivalent to the concrete which used only the ordinary portland cement.
