Evaluation of Demand and Capacity Factors Based on Reliability-Based Criteria
Abstract eng: The capacity and demand factors implicit in three reinforced concrete 5-, 10- and 15-story buildings designed in accordance with the Mexico City Design Regulations 2004 are calculated. In order to reach this objective it was followed a procedure similar to that proposed by Cornell and collaborators. The evaluation is performed for three structural limit states: serviceability, life safety and near-collapse.
