Study on the Fluid-Solid Interaction Mechanism of Caohe Aqueduct in South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Line Project under Condition of Seismic Loads

Abstract eng:
Based on considering the fluid-solid coupling problem in aqueduct, the dynamic FEM model of fluid-solid interaction was established by use of Galerkin Method. And the seismic response of Caohe aqueduct structure in the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Line Project was calculated. The results indicate that seismic response of the aqueduct structure increases with the rise of water level, and so the fluid-solid interaction was of great influences on the seismic response of the aqueduct structure. The calculated results could provide good instruction to forthcoming aqueduct construction and operational management and safety monitoring.
