Seismic Response Analysis of 3D Structures Through Simplified Non-Linear Procedures
Abstract eng: New tools for the analysis of the seismic behaviour of plan-asymmetric structures are herein presented and the concepts of “polar spectrum” and limit domains are discussed. Both polar spectrum and limit domains allow researchers to investigate the non-linear capacities of plan-asymmetric structures. The proposed procedure has been validated by comparing the results obtained with those of non-linear dynamic analyses for two benchmark structures.
