The dynamic and earthquake response of a greek post-byzantine basilicas

Abstract eng:
This paper presents results from a numerical investigation that deals with the dynamic and earthquake response of structural formations representing Byzantine and PostByzantine churches of the “Basilica” form. The study aims to identify critical responses that dominate these structural formations that can be used to explain observed structural damage. Moreover, the current study tries to investigate the influence of missing structural parts in the final dynamic and earthquake response.
