A First-Order Shear P-Finite Element for Vibrations of Variable Stiffness Composite Laminated Plates

Abstract eng:
This document provides a short description of the presentation that will be carried out on vibrations of variable stiffness composites. The study is of a numerical nature and employs a p-version finite element, based on a first order shear deformation theory. Linear modes of vibration are defined and results from a preliminary, time domain, investigation on vibrations with large displacements are shown and discussed.
