Structure-Structure and Internal Liquid-Structure Interaction

Abstract eng:
It is proposed to discuss liquid-structure linear vibration problems within the framework of structure- structure interaction approach. The discussion will be centered on the primal-dual dynamic aspects of this interaction which have been, only for the dual approach, deeply analyzed by B. Fraeijs de Veubeke and M. Geradin and then for structure-structure interaction, in static, by M. Gurtin. This will lead to discuss the appropriate variational formulations of the boundary value equations for incompressible liquids with a zero pressure free surface approximation then with the effect of compressibility. The gravity effects will be then recalled for further open investigations.
