Natural convection in a cubical enclosure with opposing active sectors


Abstract eng:
Natural convection in a cuhical enclosure with differentially heated hon-rental sectors- mounted on its opposing lateral walls is investigated. We focus on the effect of different relative locations of these isotltertrutlly heated and cooled sectors. Finite volume method on a uniform staggered grid is used and the asymptotic steady state results are obtained from the tratti'tient governing equations. Armani. tite-tiifihtent cases considered the highest heat transfer rate-is obtained when lhc oceans W's-heated in the MicHle-Mitldh: titsltion. The possible mechanisms musing the that: dimensional ei'fecis are tugltlighted.
