Startup Poiseuille flow of a Bingham fluid with or without thixotropic benavior


Abstract eng:
In this work we focus attention on the startup flow version of the classical Poiseuille flow in a two dimensional channel for the case of a Bingham fluid by allowing the possibility for thixotropic behavior. We show results for the flow and unyielded core evolution and discuss the effects of the parameters on the final time needed to reach steady state.
